Who We Are

North Wind Yoga is a unique outdoor yoga experience. Explore your inner compass and discover your true north by immersing yourself in nature.

Established and based in Denver, CO we are excited to get our local community out on the beautiful lakes of Denver and explore the many benefits of paddling and yoga.

Our mission is to guide and inspire you to find inner peace through the elements of nature. Challenge yourself both mentally and physically on water or land.

We partnered with SOL Boards, a local Colorado based paddle board company who donates with every purchase to the Forever Our Rivers Foundation.  The boards have a  Phantom "No Glue" Construction, meaning it saves many quarts of glue, making a huge environmental impact by reducing toxicity to the environment.

What is SUP Yoga

Stand Up Paddle Boarding Yoga is a 90 minute class including a short warm up paddle around the lake followed by a 60 min yoga practice. It’s a fantastic way to tone your core, build stability, and practice yoga on the water! The need for balance and stability in order to do poses while on the board will challenge your body, your breath and your mind in very different ways than typically experienced in a yoga studio. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, try something new and empower yourself. Yoga means union, when yoga is practiced outdoors the union with nature is truly felt. Many yogis improve their yoga practice with SUP Yoga because it requires more strength, balance, and focus.

All equipment is provided. You do not need any prior yoga experience or paddle boarding experience to try SUP Yoga. If you have the willingness to challenge yourself, you will do great!

Yoga in the Park

We teach a vinyasa style class in the mornings and a slow flow/yin style class during sunset hours in the park.

Vinyasa means to link breath with movement and FLOW! A breath centered class that will leave you feeling much lighter than when you adventured into our nature studio! Physically & emotionally liberating! Vinyasa is regarded as one of the most effective practices to increasing health and fitness, harnessing vital life-force PRANA (breath), quieting the mind and supporting a stream of consciousness that leads to greater mental stillness and stability. A variety of modifications and challenges are offered to welcome all levels of experience.

The sunset slow flow & yin style classes in the park start with a gentle flow to heat the muscles followed by a series of relaxing long-held, passive grounding poses that mainly work the lower part of the body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues.

Try out a FREE Sunday morning vinyasa class for the month of August!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to COVID please bring your own mat and any other items you may need for your practice.
